There are places where the veil between worlds is thin, where time seems to move at its own rhythm, and where the whispers of the past linger in the air. The Glade of Echoes is one such place— one of the entrances to the Forest, pulsing with magic, memory, and the quiet hum of something just beyond understanding.
For those who step into its depths, the Glade is more than just a place. It is an opening—to the unseen, the forgotten, and the stories waiting to be uncovered.
And now, through the pages of my Field Guide to the Glade of Echoes, you are invited to journey into this enchanted world yourself.
A Forest That Remembers
Unlike ordinary woodlands, the Glade of Echoes is a place of deep awareness. Every tree, every stone, every shadow has a story to tell. The very air carries the weight of voices long past—not as ghosts, but as echoes, remnants of moments still imprinted upon the land.
It is said that the Forest does not forget. That those who tread its sacred paths leave something behind—an imprint, a thought, a lingering trace of their presence. Some say that if you listen closely, you can hear the murmurs of the glade itself, whispering the names of those who came before.
Landmarks of the Glade
The Glade is vast, filled with sacred sites and hidden wonders. Some are known, mapped in old travelers’ journals. Others reveal themselves only to those who sacrifice a part of themselves.
The Eldergate – The Keeper of Thresholds
At the edge of the Glade stands the Eldergate, an ancient archway formed by two immense trees whose roots have intertwined beneath the earth. It is the entrance to the unknown—a test as much as a doorway. Only those who are prepared to give up something of sentimental value may pass through, as gaining passage to the Forest requires sacrifice.
The Whispering Runes – Echoes Carved in Stone
Scattered throughout the Glade, rune-marked stones hum faintly with magic. These inscriptions are sometimes written by hand but other times appear naturally, growing upon the stone and other places as the forest wills it. Some believe they are messages from the Sylthari, the forest’s ancient denizens. Others say they are records of past travelers, their words etched into the stone itself.
The Spirit Stones – Anchors of Magic
In the heart of the Glade stand the Spirit Stones—towering monoliths that pulse with quiet energy. They are said to be the anchors of the forest’s magic, ensuring that the balance between seen and unseen remains undisturbed. To touch one is to feel the hum of the forest’s lifeblood, a connection that few forget.
The Forest’s Guardians
The Glade of Echoes is not without its watchers. Some are creatures, their forms flickering between the physical and the mystical. Others are unseen, their presence felt only in the rustling leaves, the shifting shadows, the sudden hush that falls when one steps too close to something not meant to be found.
The Sunbound Deer
The guardian of the Glade of Echoes, the Sunbound Deer radiates light as it makes its way through the Forest. If the deer lingers in your presence, take it as a sign: you have been noticed.
The Sylthari
Little is known of the Sylthari, the whispered ancient protectors of the Glade. Some claim they are spirits, bound to the ancient trees. Others say they were once mortal but have long since become part of the forest itself. What is certain is that they do not take kindly to those who disrespect the land.
